Flight Skating Academy

Welcome to our local educational skating program. Flight Skating Academy offers various classes while trying to follow the guidelines of the national governing body of figure skating (USFS) and Learn to Skate USA (LTS). LTS instruction is a cost-effective way to learn the basic skills of ice skating. You will learn the fundamentals of ice skating whether you’re interested in recreational ice skating, competitive figure skating, or ice hockey. Individual skaters are grouped with participants of similar age and skill level. Categories include:

-Snowplow Sam – Ages 3 to 5
-Basic Skills – Ages 6 to 15
-Adult – Ages 16 and up

Flight Skating Academy is not owned by our club. Rather it is owned by Flight Adventure Park. They work closely with South Carolina Figure Skating Club to make various shows and competitions happen.

Other than LTS classes, Flight Skating Academy offers many programs and specialty classes such as:

  • Axel Class
  • Edge Class
  • Jump and Spin Class
  • Superstars
  • Off-ice classes
  • Recreational skating summer camp
  • Competitive skating summer camp
